Disadvantages of Using Traditional Cleaning Materials
Getting off using traditional cleaning materials and products? Want to switch to a new COVID disinfecting cleaning schedule or want a more eco-friendly version?
We understand! During these past 2 years, we are going through a lot. The fact that can be denied, we need changes in our habitant and our traditional cleaning materials and products.
Indeed, it is time to say GOODBYE to traditional cleaning materials, acknowledging the disadvantages of using traditional cleaning materials and slight affecting effects for these harsh times.
So, already ready to know the disadvantages of using traditional cleaning products?
Here we go:
Not Good For the Environment
One of the main disadvantages of using traditional cleaning materials. Is not being environment-friendly. They contain a lot of strong chemicals that can be harmful to the environment and sometimes to us.
You may have perceived the odor of strong chemicals when you wash down drains, toilets, and sinks using traditional cleaning materials.
However, unfortunately, these traditional cleaning materials can also affect serious health problems for younger ones, the elderly, and even pets.
Harsh and Unsafe to Use
Everyone is concerned about their health whether it’s a pet owner, parents, or conscientious house owner.
Using traditional cleaning materials breaks the protocol of safety aspects in the home, office, or anywhere.
Traditional cleaning materials often contain strong toxic components such as ammonia, bleach, and methyl chloride. Using these products of these materials is not safe, harsh, and causes infectious injuries when in contact with the skin.
Reason of Allergy
Using traditional strong chemicals in a standard cleaning schedule can aggravate those with allergies such as eczema. Odors such as ammonia and bleach are often very unpleasant.
In extreme cases, people with allergies and sensitivity to such traditional cleaning materials may sneeze, cough, or experience gushing eyes.
People who are in prolonged contact with these traditional cleaning materials/ products seem to be tainted with rashes, dry skin, or some other allergic reactions on their body skin.
For those with eczema and asthma, using traditional cleaning materials with harsh and strong smells can be more particularly problematic.
Biodegradability
Many of the chemicals in traditional cleaning solutions are not biodegradable, which is another big problem.
These chemicals are dumped down the drain or rinsed down the sink, causing them to accumulate in the water table. These leaking chemicals have the potential to harm animals and nature over time.
Easily Available and Risky
One of the reasons that cleaning companies tend to use traditional cleaning materials regularly is the price.
Unfortunately, traditional cleaning materials producers charge a lower price for their products. This is mostly because people use risky mass-produced chemicals.
Dangerous but Effective
A final concern is the effectiveness of traditional cleaning materials compared with other modern cleaning and eco-friendly chemicals.
Essentially, modern cleaning products do require a little more elbow grease. It may be more difficult to keep a clean and eco-friendly home.
You may need more frequent cleans as baked-on stains and old marks are not so easily removed with traditional cleaning materials and this can be more dangerous to use and risky to health.
While there are lots of disadvantages of using traditional cleaning materials, there are times when these products are ideal options for the type of cleaning that needs extensive cleaning.
